The Belgrave Art Stockade in its present form opened for business in 1992. It is located at 64-68 Monbulk Road, Belgrave, Victoria. Georg Braumuller is one of Australia's foremost artists in decorative wrought iron and Belgrave Art Stockade was established as a retail outlet for his hand forged chandeliers, candle holders and other wrought iron art. Shortly after opening, the Belgrave Art Stockade diversed into locally handmade crafts. In 1995 the business expanded into larger premises and now contains a wide range of items. Due to a number of initiatives, the Belgrave Art Stockade also achieved business success through their monthly seminars, demonstrations and competitions - architects, interior designers and home decorators flocked to the wrought iron art gallery to buy his decor.
